BIO
Glen Aaron Kuenzi

Glen Kuenzi is a budding young professional violinist specializing in orchestral and chamber music performance. Hailing from Madison, WI, he completed his undergraduate degree in Violin Performance and Economics at University of Wisconsin-Madison under the tutelage of Soh Hyun Altino. While in Madison, Glen became established in the professional music scene, often performing with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and with various community theaters in the region in addition to his leadership roles with the University Orchestra. In 2022, Glen moved to Washington DC to study for his Master of Music degree with Irina Muresanu at the University of Maryland. In addition to his duties as leader with the University Orchestra and chamber music program, Glen has found success in the freelancing scene of the DMV, playing in a variety of the many gigging avenues available to local musicians, and establishing a private teaching studio. He is also a substitute violinist with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. In Summer of 2023, Glen was a member of the National Orchestral Institute Philharmonic, where he served as a rotating concertmaster with the orchestra. While at NOI, Glen auditioned for, and was accepted to, the substitute list of Miami’s New World Symphony. After NOI, Glen served as one of the orchestral fellows at Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro, NC, where he played weekly concerts among some of the best regional and major orchestral players in the country and performed chamber music outreach concerts in the local libraries. Glen has a passion for teaching, and is in the midst of starting a grassroots program for free concerts and music lessons in local parks and other public venues.
